Cross the moor on the old road via Altarnun. The inn at Bolventor is the coaching stop Daphne du Maurier made famous.

Brown Willy & Golitha Falls
Park at Rough Tor for the walk to Cornwall's highest ground, then drop south to the woodland falls on the River Fowey.

Tintagel to Port Isaac
Atlantic cliffs, Tintagel Castle's footbridge and the harbour lanes of Port Isaac — best driven early before the day-trippers.

Driving notes for visitors
- Cornish lanes are single-track with high hedges — reverse gear gets used.
- Coastal car parks fill by 10am in summer; start early.
- Moorland fog arrives fast. Dip your headlights and slow right down.
Remember: drive on the left, the national speed limit on single carriageways is 60mph, and roundabouts give priority to traffic from your right.
